Private networks within a virtualized environment allow you to configure isolated communication channels between your virtual machines, enhancing security and potentially improving network performance. This guide will show you how to create and manage a private network through your control panel.

Step 1: Access the Network Section

  • Navigate to Product Details: Log in to your account and locate the VM for which you wish to modify the storage capacity, after clicking "Services" on the Dashboard and then "My Services".

  • Access Network option: Look on the Additional Tools section and click the "Network" option.

Step 2: Creating a Private Network

  • Open the network creation interface: Click on the "Create Private Network" option.

  • Confirm the creation: You will see a pop-up asking if you are sure you want to create a private network. Confirm this to proceed. You also need to choose whether to restart the VM automatically after the network is created.

  • Private Network IP: Upon creating a Private Network a random private IP address is automatically assigned to the VM.

Step 3: Assigning Virtual Machines to the Network

  • Select the VM: From the network management screen, you need to click on the option "Assign Virtual Machine", and in the popup window you can choose from your available VMs, one to link to the private network.

  • Restart options: Decide whether the VMs need to be restarted immediately to apply these settings.

Step 4: Managing and Monitoring the Network

  • View network details: Check the configuration and connected devices anytime by accessing the network settings page.

  • Modify or delete: You can change network settings or remove the private network if it’s no longer required.

Manage Private Networks

Our services are designed so that the total number of Private Networks cannot surpass the number of VMs. After creating a Private Network on a VM the option "Create Private Network" is disabled.

Connecting Multiple VMs to a Single Private Network

  • Access the "Network" Additional Tool and establish a Private Network on your chosen VM.

  • Use the "Assign Virtual Machine" option within the Private Network settings to link additional VMs.

  • In the pop-up window, select another VM to connect, deciding whether a restart is necessary to activate the new network settings.

  • Confirm and apply your settings, then repeat the process for any additional VMs you wish to include in this network.

Connecting a Single VM to Multiple Private Networks

  • First, ensure each desired VM has its Private Network set up.

  • For each VM, access the "Network" Additional Tool, select "Assign Virtual Machine," and choose the VM that you want to connect to multiple Private Networks.

  • You can select the VM that is already connected to Private Networks, use the "Network" Additional Tool to view and manage these connections.
